I have the same problem. Seems like fabric doesn't have this problem.

lolpowerluke commented 4 weeks ago

fabric has this problem as well, tested on 1.20.1 with tectonic 2.3.5b

seed I used for testing is 7108939362077766788 image red mark is spawn, just go north to where the red arrow is

Apollounknowndev commented 3 weeks ago

Probably unfixable, but will investigate nevertheless.

I hope there's a fix for this cause some biomes are just completely submerged, biomes of plenty adds some "rare" biomes and these are mostly (if not completely) submerged in the ocean, also I tested on 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.20.6 (all with same seed as mentioned before), they all have the problem image image image image for most of the biome it just acts as if its part of the ocean, I've had some where it didnt even try going up, but I cant find an example rn

We didn't catch this until our modpack has been running for a month and now we have a civil war on our hands on whether we should restart and keep Tectonic or keep Terralith. Does this happen with Vanilla biomes as well or just modded biomes?

lolpowerluke commented 2 weeks ago

the 1st image shows it happening to vanilla biomes
