for my understanding:

is this the Landing Page ie the place people go to learn about the product or is this something else?

I was pretty confused with 2 different pages we used for checking out with the name your own price page. Do we need 2 pages again?

This is the checkout/payment page. The only reason we're doing it this way is you said you wanted a "sales page" with a button to go to this page. We don't need two pages, it's up to you.

These are what I call a "sales page." From this type of page you click "buy" or "join" and get to the payment page:

Yep, this thread would be about the payment page.

If you want sales_page->payment_page, then we need two pages. From a coding perspective, I just need people to go through the payment page...the rest is up to you :)
