Hey, @AlexMcGilvray. Is it match your expectation? I was typing 'arigatou'.
Hi @LucasXu0
You animation indeed looks correct. That's not what I experienced though.
Here's a screenshot
I typed "ありがとう” in hiragana for reference. It looks like the autocomplete understands the typing but if I don't use it, it comes out like in the screenshot.
Hello, from Japan. Sorry this is not solution but
This might be a broader issue, indicating that it's not necessarily AppFlowy's fault. Japanese input on Windows some times experiences malfunctions.
The causes vary, ranging from issues with keyboard connections to The interval for repeat input is misaligned.
MS Community Q ..repeated unexpectedly
MS Community Q ..broken input system
The Community questioner said that not all software experiences this. For example, it occurs in browsers, but not in notepads or MS Word.
If that was true, this isuue can be closed. It's frustrating, but.
Bug Description
This is pretty neat! I just gave it a try and it feels quite nice.
That said I tried typing in Japanese and it seems to be broken. Both when I set the language mode to either English or Japanese.
When I try to type
ありがとう
The following is output : ああRありありTありありGありがありがTありがとありがとうありがとう
I'm running windows 10.
How to Reproduce
Install windows version of appflowy (I used the MSI installer) and then try to type Japanese via IME. This occurs when the application language is set to both English and Japanese.
Expected Behavior
Should be able to type in Japanese without many extra characters being inserted while typing.
Operating System
Windows 10
AppFlowy Version(s)
I can't find an about page in the application but I installed it on 2023/06/28
