Sonoma 14 broke discharge (when using external display) #1054

Describe the bug The update to Sonoma broke the discharge feature.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Al Dente
  2. Click on 'discharge'
  3. The battery indicator's charge icon disappears then reappears about a second later.

Expected behavior The icon shouldn't be there, indicating battery drainage.
