no ae2 version for fabric will be released beyond 1.20.1

also 1.20.4 is now an old, discontinued version, so even if ae2 started making fabric versions again (it won't), it wouldn't be for 1.20.4

You'll have to play on an older version then.

Or ask the carpetmod author to make a NeoForge version available.
