Camille Baksteen, a research student at the Vrije Universiteit, has asked Appsterdam to participate in a big international research project (Amsterdam, Helsinki, Montreal and Melbourne). The contribution for Appsterdam for this project will be giving interviews/information for about 20 to 40 hours a year, for a 5 year period.
This project involves research with a focus on the creative/designers industry. The research aims to answer, "How is collaborative innovation practiced in creative ecosystems and how does it evolve over time and across boundaries?"
There are a lot of big and small players taking part in this research such as Philips, Amsterdam Economic Board, Syntens, Achmea, Dutch Design Week, Pakhuis de Zwijger, Waag Society, Hogeschool van Amsterdam, etc. There are two big meetups a year for everybody who takes part in this research, a big plus for Appsterdam, network-wise.

This is a great opportunity for Appsterdam and shows that we play an integral part in the creative ecosystem.
