Twas the plan, but then business and traveling got in the way. I'm happy to do another one soon as I can, I'll talk to @whakkee.
Yay :)
@sgoodwin asked me for Nov 9, is it all set now? If so, we can maybe close this?
Can you close it once you have the event on Meetup?
Hi Marga, yes @sgoodwin confirmed this Nov 9. I just need an announcement / synopsis for the Meetup Board. Maybe we can just recycle an old one? Once I have this I can close it. I assume Meeting Space at A-Lab is ok with everyone? @mattfeigal confirmed he could help with logistics & communications from home while he recoups.
If I’m correct, @sgoodwin was already working on the meetup text… better check with him to avoid doing double work ;-)

A Lab is fine as long as it's not during the normal workhotel hours of Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00. Thanks, everyone!
Thanks for the heads up @whakkee. I'll confirm time and text with @sgoodwin. The thinking was a saturday session @judykitteh so I think we're good. Just need to find a good pizza place in the neighbourhood!
@sgoowin wrote a great synopsis for the meetup board yesterday. @whakkee Margaret, do you have a nice personal bio to add to this? You can send it to tom@tapp.nl
@judykitteh, Nov 9 is a Saturday. Ok to book work hotel / Appsterdam HQ as event location? I guess we'll need to arrange a beamer and screen.
@tomvanarman Yes, the workhotel is fine. The beamer is kept in our closet. We don't have a screen so you can test how it looks just projecting onto the wall. If you need to darken the room, I would suggest turning off the lights on half of the room and/or getting a big, dark cloth to tape to the windows.
Hi!
Thanks Tom & others for keeping this moving!
I've created & announced the Meetup event, will Tweet it shortly.
I can't seem to add Tom as an Assistant Organizer on Meetup. (I may be an assistant organizer myself, so don't have rights) @judykitteh, can you give him rights? Then he can create his own Guru sessions in the future.
@samuelgoodwin: I've linked your name to your twitter account. If you'd like us to also link to your company, let us know
@whakkee: I didn't have a bio for you so just added a cute comment. You can send us a Bio whenever you'd like and we will update it. Also, if you'd like to link to your company, let us know.

I've added @tomvanarman as an event organizer. For future reference, here is how you make someone an event host, even if they're not an event organizer.
Go to Edit on the event page.
Scroll down to "Who's hosting this Meetup?"
Select an organizer to be the host or type in the name of an Appsterdam Meetup member.
Results start to appear as you begin typing a name.
Select the desired person. It will highlight in blue.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and hit "Change details."
Done!
Closing this issue since the event is on Meetup. Thanks, everyone!
@sgoodwin: Weren't you and @whakkee going to do an iOS for beginners Guru Session? I heard from @tross6 that Tom van Arman will be helping @mattfeigal with coordinating things. Would be great to get a class going again.
