I thought better of having a long back and forth before merging the pull request. I think it would be a good idea, at least during the migration, to merge generously and frequently. You can go through and make changes and issue pull requests as much as you like. As long as you're writing about your own stuff, there's no real need for verification, and at this point in the game, we don't have to worry about being perfect as much as being present.
Later on, we can pull requests to get the language and style just so before changing the canon. For now, let's just get the information in there.
I'll add some things, links and more info, and submit a new pull request.
It seems like my last post summarizes what most of us would call a good policy, but to make that as useful as possible, I've updated the wiki by adding a Policies section to accompany the Procedures section. I've put the information from the comment on a page about merging pull requests.
