I only mention the meetup page as a resource external to this file, so this should be sufficient for now.

It still feels a bit confusing how you calculate distance. How far is 20km? The person who is a casual rider looking to sample their first taste of pleasure riding probably has no idea. Maybe you should just say something like:

Everyone is welcome: the ride will be only as strenuous and as long as the entire group is comfortable with. Our goal is something longer than your daily commute, and easier than the Tour de France.

As I understood it, this document is for whomever might need to run this event in the event of my sickness/assasination. For the person running the event, they better know how far 20km is or the group is in trouble.

If the same text is used on meetup as well as for whomever runs the event, maybe it's nice to write 20km/12.5mile, so people who are here for a bit from the US have an idea too.
