I've booted the installer on UEFI and tried to installed with MBR.

If you don't create a /boot/efi-partition a warning is displayed, but if you create them with ext4, the installation is completed and a nasty stacktrace in python is shown while the installer tries to install the bootloader.

If /boot/efi is to small or the wrong fs is selected a warning should be displayed. :)

This is an issue in upstream calamares.
