Thanks for pointing this out.
We believe that, if you were to consider all scenarios, there would be 2^2 possible scenarios (clear vs don't clear AND close or don't close). However we want to cater to the most probable scenario which is accidentally clearing the database without closing the computer. On top of that, we did mention in our User Guide that the database will update after every command executed. Nonetheless, we do agree we could have been more specific, but the chances of this happening is low and it does not affect the rest of the functionalities of the app. Thus we believe that the issue is better suited to be low severity.

The user cannot recover the data if he/she closes the app before doing the undo.
This must be made clear to the user, so as to not misguide them into thinking their data is recoverable even after closing the app.
