The Norwegian bottom trawl survey that has been used so far in FishGlob has many errors and should not be used in any analysis until it has been replaced by the correct dataset.

@tomjwebb and @edwardlavender big warning here, we were recently notified by IMR about this, and we will replace the Norwegian survey dataset in the coming week(s)

Thanks for the heads up!

By the way, I noticed in passing that the Norwegian survey data includes 'depths' -1 m and 0 m. Just flagging this one here on the off chance you weren't aware of it alongside the other issues in the Norwegian data!

load(url("https://github.com/AquaAuma/FishGlob_data/blob/main/outputs/Compiled_data/FishGlob_public_clean.RData?raw=true"))
range(data$depth, na.rm = TRUE)
[1]   -1.00 2856.22
library(dplyr)
  data |>
    filter(depth <= 1) |>
    group_by(survey) |>
    summarise(n = n())
# A tibble: 1 × 2
  survey      n

that might disappear with the new dataset because it's quite a different one

@LaurenePecuchet are we all good with the code or are there things I need to double check besides loading the data?

Dataset was replaced by the Barents Sea ecosystem survey available here for year 2021 http://metadata.nmdc.no/metadata-api/landingpage/3b4b5ee0f92a647642ffffdec39c8814 and see reports:
