At the moment we are using the reference to the result from a process to avoid that the data needs to sent from the process to Galaxy and then to the next process. However, we could still provide the opportunity to download the result. This is more a UX issue since it is already possible to download the result via Get Data, but giving users the option would make it a bit easier.
