QNAP QNA-UC5G1T: Ignoring vusb0 link state change, no port found #2

I am using the driver on ESX6.7u3 with a QNAP QNA-UC5G1T device. The driver loads fine and the connection is recognized with 5000Mbps.

After a couple of hours, eventually the device willl shut down and all VM's in the port group connected to the vswitch that is connected to the vusb0 device become unreachable. When the cable is unplugged and plugged in again, the VM's gain theier connections back.

Matching log entries can be found in /var/log/syslog. Though, there is no meaningful message in any of the logs that would explain the behavior.

Is this behavior due to thermic shutdown? The ethtool on ESXi does not support the option --set-priv-flags to change the thermic shutdown behavior

How do I make this adapter work permanently?

Just before the connection is lost, this error message appears in the logs:

MirrorThrottled.cswitch: MirrorToPorts:3695: [nsx@6876 comp="nsx-esx" subcomp="vswitch"]session legacy_promiscuous: failed to output 0 pkts to dst 0x50331652 during mirroring: Failure

@meyayl, did you resolve the issue? Do you know if it works with ESXi 7.0.3?

It never ran stable. Meanwhile I moved from ESXi to Proxmox and don't regret it a single day :)
