Aras Workflow Approval add-in available as installer? #5

Hi,

is the "Aras Workflow Approval add-in" also available as independed installer?

The Office Store is per default deactivated in our company, so I am not able to download and install any add-in. Only a manual installation of add-ins is possible at the moment (like Aras Office Connector add-in). A installer (if technically possible) would high likely be a faster solution then starting discussions with the IT department about reactivating the store. :-) Maybe it´s also possible to reactive the store but at the same time only allow the installation of some specific predefined add-ins. But I haven´t checked this option yet.

Hi Angela,

The Aras Workflow Approval Add-in is only distributed via the Office Store at this time. I am unable to provide a standalone installer.

Regarding Office Store permissions - I believe it is possible for IT organizations to allow installation of preapproved add-ins. I know it's possible for Microsoft Teams, but haven't checked if it's the same for Outlook.

Hi Eli,

I tried this feature last week with a colleague from IT. After installation the Outlook of my colleague didn´t start up any more. So I am right now still banned for the Add-In store.

But I am patient. I will find a way to try this feature one day. :-) Angela
