Sidebar diagnostics keeps pulling my gpu out of power saving mode

I use sidebar diagnostics 3.5.8 on windows 10 20H2 on my laptop. My laptop has an integrated GPU and an Nvidia geforce rtx dedicated gpu. When I have sidebar diagnostics running, the dedicated gpu keeps being pulled out of power saving, eating up 20-30% of my battery easily. Desired behaviour would be the powersave mode of my GPU being undisrupted.

Things i have observed:

• Turning off sidebar diagnostics restores normal power-behaviour of my gpu
• Turning off monitoring of my dedicated gpu also restores normal power behaviour of my gpu
• Monitoring only the temperature of my dedicated gpu also causes the described behaviour
• Windows task manager is able to monitor the same telemetry without disrupting gpu powersave
• When the symptoms are present, it seems the "system" process uses the "Copy" engine of my GPU for very shorts amount of time, which seems to be what pulls it from powersave mode

Sidebar diagnostics itself uses the integrated gpu to render.

I reset all settings I "played around with" (to get you the above information) to default, so to reproduce this would be straightforeward:

(requires a laptop with a similar setup)

• Enable GPU powersave and observe the gpu going into power save mode (I use asus armoury crate for this)
• Observe the powersave mode for at least twenty seconds to ensure no disruptive conditions already reside in the system
• Open sidebar diagnostics
• Enable GPU monitoring for the dedicated GPU

Observe GPU power mode for a few seconds, the disruptive effect is now visible

• Disable GPU monitoring for the dedicated GPU

Observe GPU power mode for a few seconds again, the disruptive effect is now absent
