@ChipWolf Can this have something to do with the changing of the IP addresses? There is nothing in MultiChat config that was changed.
So, MultiChat's global chat was working perfectly. The global channel is configured as the default and it's forced on all users during login. Now, it looks like it's stopped working & frankly I'm not certain why; I don't believe anything has changed which could interfere with chat in any meaningful way.
Strangely enough, MultiChat's admin chat works perfectly, above are some chronological logs from the creative (aqua), survival (green), and proxy (purple). Maybe @OllieMartin knows what's up?
I had a hunch this could've been due to our switch from BungeeCord to Waterfall, but I reverted that change in our dev environment & the issue persists.
Asked support on the MultiChat Discord for help, just waiting on a response there. According to their FAQ for global chat not working, we tick all of the boxes.
@stw222 suggests adding the MultiChat plugin to the local servers in addition to the proxy. I'll attempt this in the dev environment. It doesn't explain how this was previously working, but we'll give it a shot.
Closed, the fix suggested worked. Also, removing some additional plugins which were interfering with chat was necessary.
