• TS-EAS has been using TEI XML for several years as the basic file format to edit and maintain their tag libraries. Using TEI XML provides the opportunity to create various export and publication formats (e.g. HTML and PDF) from the same source, hence only having one place to track changes and updates.
• The APEx project adopted this approach when creating EAG 2012, but the TEI XML files used back in 2012 are not accessible to the WGoS anymore.
• Hence a copy of the current draft version for the EAC-CPF 2.0 Tag Library should be taken and adapted for EAG 3.0. With various alignment actions being part of the major revision, it is expected that about half of the EAG 3.0 elements and nearly all EAG 3.0 attributes can be used as they are in the EAC-CPF 2.0 Tag Library with minor changes in the texts (e.g. changing "EAC-CPF" to "EAG"). For the remaining EAG-specific elements, the EAC-CPF 2.0 Tag Library's TEI XML can be used as a template and some of the sections can already be filled using the existing EAG 2012 Tag Library (HTML) as a basis (http://www.archivesportaleuropefoundation.eu/images/docs/EAG2012_TagLibrary.html). Here the texts probably need to be extended to fit the model and updated to the new version of EAG.
• WGoS members will take care of the update to the various parts of the Tag Library in separate issues.

The general task of creating a TEI XML for the EAG 3.0 Tag Library is done, with parts of it now being edited and reviewed by the WGoS members. Once all editing and review has finished and all parts have been merged into one again, this issue can be considered completed.
