Is this a common thing or in a single case? There should not be an issue with Windows 11. If you encounter this, the best is to drag down a new connect component and sipose the old. Maybe the retry button needs to be rechecked. Firewall could ne an issue, but I've never encountered that....
Ok, I'm also getting it here... That is odd. It seems the server is down and I did not do any changes. I am investigating.
Glad you can reproduce this one as it was more severe than the other.
And now it works...
Can you please check again. Maybe there is too much traffic at the place where I run it.
I will try to get into contact with the student that had the issue.

Everything is working here again it was only once. Yesterday I had huge issues with emails also, so something is maybe wrong at the server hosting I'm using. I did not do any changes myself, so it is not something I have introduced.
The same issue should also be with the viewers. The make the same connection to the service at the connect component.
Ist weird because if it would be a hosting issue, then all students should have experienced this issue, but that is not the case, just one of them.
I will try to talk to them personally and get back to you on monday about the issue.
Yes that is weird... And I just had it here once. Yesterday Facebook, Messenger and Instagram were down and now RADii. It's happening to all the big once!! ;-) Joke a side I think it is a one time only incident. The code on the servers has not changed for ages, but if she for some reason weren't able to query the RADii service because of her connection, the service being down momentarily, that is the message you get. The best thing is do dispose the connect component and try later, maybe even restart Rhino to get the plugin to load fresh.
ahhahahahahhahahhahahahah Could be, the confusing part is, that she had the issue in a room full of people for whom it was working. I tried opening and closing Rhino, when i reinstalled her Plugin. I did not go for a full restart of her device tho.
Maybe she has a connection problem on her device, the longer i think about it.
Was it resolved or did she have to give up? Was she able to connect before or never?
it was not resolved and she said she always has this issue, its persistent ever since she tried raddi for the first time. Originally she had a version from food 4 Rhino. Since i was not sure how often you update it there i went with the radii version from your website, without success.
She could try turning off the firewall for a few minutes. It contacts the internet on the same port as a browser, so if she can browse the internet there should not be an issue. Maybe she has some obscure setting set in windows for grasshopper specifically. Is she on the latest Rhino 7?
Hi G, was this ever solved? I have another one experiencing this with the viewer.
to be honnest i dont know if this was resolved, i would close the issue for the moment since it has not happened again.
Windows 11 No connection with the server could be made under no condition.
I tried a fresh reinstall of the plugin to no avail. Could this be a firewall issue ?
