The idea is that you can look around with the orientation of the iphone/android. If you use the virtual joystick the right/left movement is added to the current rotation of the device. It is not all the time possible to look around with the device (if you are in a train) therfore the addition of the virtual thumbstick to the orientation. When in fly mode you can use the device to fly very precisely by simply pointing to where you want to go. The virtual joystick is mainly for major changes to the orientation rather than having to spin physically around. I think it works well, but maybe we are seeing to different things? The studio and standard viewer should have the same control mechanism. What do you mean with conflict exactly? Of course if you are rotating in one direction physically and pushing the joystick in the opposite it will be strange. The joystick also responds to the sensitivity setting so it can be turned down.
when using the joystick in vr mode i had two things:
Ok, great G, I'll do some more testing on it too! I usually test on android when working on the mobile, so maybe it behaves differently on ios. When you say vr you mean the studio/standard viewer on ipad/iphone right?
yes i mean the studio viewer on iphone.
In full Vr the on screen control seems to conflict with the orientation ( by swinging the phone) control. Also when moving there is so much inertia in the control that it is very difficult to maneuver.
