Arctos provides tools (that may not be functional because nobody uses them...), it's easy to find stuff in genbank if it's submitted in a predictable way.

https://github.com/ArctosDB/arctos/issues/1694 - we're barely scratching the surface of what crossref could do for us.

Crossref does pretty cool things with ORCID, using them should be eg part of loan agreements. (Arctos has some basic functionality as well - https://arctos.database.museum/orcid/0000-0003-0536-5044)

DOIs are expensive, I can get a few of them. As far as I know ARKs are free, I could potentially grab millions if we had a use case.
