My workflow (from eg the stuff you might find in a "collector" field) is generally (all while keeping the agents file synced with the source data):

• pull out uniques, sort a few ways, eliminate anything obvious
• Agent Name Splitter, more sorting and looking for dups (you'll probably find "B. Smith" and "W. Smith" and "Bill Smith" and "William Smith" and such, and sorting by last name will get them together)
• Agent loader through validation
• eliminate the stuff that already exists ("fatal errors")
• Agent loader through validation
• maybe fix some more stuff
• probably rinse-and-repeat a few more times
• finalize load
