Media not uploading #6165

Files don't upload when dropped into loading area

You can try again or load to your TACC allocation; there's not much I can do about that thing timing out.

I'm getting the same issue. The image uploads (a 0.5 MB file, which has no business timing out), I get a checkmark, but then the Upload Media box just sits there with a solid grey line and no change. We don't have a TACC allocation and this is our primary way of loading all images to individual records.

Are you saying you don't have anything to do with this part of the media upload process and there's no recourse for it not working? What's my next option? Get a TACC allocation?

I mean only that I have relatively primitive tools at the moment, and must work within our resource limitations (eg this shouldn't be capable of killing the production instance, and that's the only mechanism I have available for this).

If you (or anyone) want to send me a sample file I will try to load it, and that's the only way I know of to get more information on this.

And weirdly enough, all the other records/images WERE able to accept an individual image uploads https://arctos.database.museum/guid/UAM:EH:UA2005-009-0002

Thanks, there's something about that file (or ??) - I can re-create, I will get to this as soon as possible.

@jldunnum can you send me (attach here, whatever works) the file that failed for you?

@AJLinn this is some perfect storm of crazy.

I've squished the bugs and given the cache-thing some suspenders to wear over its belt, some stuff should be fixing itself now and the rest will be next release (tonight).

@jldunnum I'd guess you found at least one of those, but it's definitely not quite the same situation. Try again ~tomorrow.
