@asemerdj There is something already scanned into your container, prior to positions being created. Can you share a view of your position tree for your freezer box? I'm concerned that the error message says cryovial - are you sure your container is a freezer box? I'm online if you want to do a quick zoom.
here's the tree - I was trying to add things to the 'pink box'. There is stuff in it now, but there was not when I first assigned rows/columns:
If that doesn't help I can hop on zoom tomorrow anytime after 1 pacific time.
also, what does the asterisk in front of the prep lab freezer mean?
Let's do a quick zoom - I sent an invite for 2pm Pacific. I'll let @dustymc respond about the asterix. I only see that in front of my DGR collection.

it's set up to hold a grid (the elements of which can only be https://arctos.database.museum/info/ctDocumentation.cfm?table=ctcontainer_type#position), so can't hold anything that's not part of the grid...
but yea - I'd be VERY interested to know how you got there, that shouldn't be possible, there's a bug somewhere.
What SHOULD have happened:
find a candidate - container labels can't be used (and your procedures should probably tell you this one's purpose, but I'm in test so I'm doing whatever...)
Edit it, maybe use the magic thing (or file an issue if you need some repetitive recipe):
save then make the positions
then use that same positions link (or you'll magic there when they're created) to scan cryovials (nothing else should fit) into the positions you just made

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to add positions to a freezer box but am getting an error saying "This container holds non-positions; this form cannot be used." what does that mean and how do I fix it?
Thank you! Alyssa
