Stopped working on Opera GX #46

Hi, The app stopped working today (I reloaded the page a few times to make sure, because it had been a bit on the fritz earlier this week, working on and off) I'm on OperaGX, using the website view (not the side panel) and the controls just don't appear at all. Not the app ones, or the browser ones.

I figure Instagram might have had an update? I hope it's not that infamous V3 thing, that's gonna screw us over though

Hi @Felina-Lain , thanks for your report. Currently I cannot reproduce the error. The controls are working in Firefox and Chrome in Posts and Reals. The add-on already uses Manifest v3 for Chrome - this should not be an issue. Can you provide a screenshot and a direct link to the video? Can you also screenshot the add-on settings, please?

Unfortunately Opera GX doesn't run on my OS, so I only can test with chrome. In theory there should by no different - but I don't know what modifications Opera GX made.

It's all videos, but let's pick a random one: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBgsz-LOtnx/ image As you can see, no controls appear, aside from the default App options: image I'm going to try to force update opera and clean cache, I'll tell you if that worked, I might have made a report too quickly

Oh could you check if the permission to "://.instagram.com/*" in the browsers extension settings is granted?

It was, but updating seems to have fixed it, at least when I open instagram in full page! Opera GX also has a sidebar, and the extension still no longer work in it (it did before) so it's most likely a OperaGX specific issue I'll just use it in full page, thanks for the help anyway, sorry to have bothered you for nothing

I'm going to re-open it sadly, it stopped working again in all pages Or rather, it's working at random intervals. Sometimes I'll have the controls, then just going into my chat messages and watching the videos there, the controls will be gone. Back to timeline, they're still gone. And then I'll open a video on its own page, and they'll be back, but refreshing will make them go away again.

I've seen the other post, so I guess GX did break something, wishing you luck and strength finding it! thanks a lot!
