Support for VP Systems serial camera control #2484

There is no propietary protocol for all camera brands. Every manufacturer brews its own soup. If it would be possible to adopt the VP Systems adapter via serial as bridge, many camera protocols would be supported.

I am no developer but I opened it as starting point for Linnar from VP Systems.

This would be AWESOME! I heard that there is USB pass-through to serial ports now - could this be available now?
