modify : ACTIVE_CONSOLES="/dev/tty[1-2]" Edit /etc/systemd/logind.conf and change value of NAutoVTs
To see the number of active term :
ps a | grep tty
Terminal removal : To disable console 3 , you can rename the file /etc/init/tty3.conf to /etc/init/t_t_y_3.conf.OLD (for example).
sudo mv /etc/init/tty3.conf /etc/init/t_t_y_3.conf.OLD
Other solution, look at inittab to remove them sudo su
sed -i '/[2-6]:23:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 tty[2-6]/s%^%#%g' /etc/inittab Purge system from unused default crap : apache, nodejs, cups, x11 etc. etc and reach 5s boot time ! ^^ (could give the list for odroid if need)
