Decide if candidate form will be approved by moderator #21

Or fetched from FB or wiki pages

Maybe we should give two option.

  1. Automatically, from a FB page.
  2. Manually, by filling the form.

In the first option the candidate will be added but will be marked for moderator review (possibly to delete him) The second must require moderator approval.

Edit: This will require changing our models, either add model for pending candidates and rejects or change the current to accommodate the change.

After some thoughts I think that there should be no restriction on adding candidates at all. If people wants to vote to Micky mouse it may be fine. The behavior of the system should encourage users to take it seriously and after all, only the top candidates are visible (not through search). It wouldn't heart to pollute the DB in this stage, maybe later we will find it problematic and decide to rethink...

What do you say?

There are two problems:

  1. Mocking the system - voting for Micky Mouse. I wouldn't like to people to become cynical and trash the idea. This might be critical at the beginning - if Micky gets 100 votes out of 100,000 its fine, but if he gets it out of 500 votes, we're in danger of being ridiculed.
  2. Duplicates - two entries that refer to the same person.

In future time i dont care if there will be fake candidates, but early its crucial. I think we should start adding testers and ask them to populate the db.
