Did you set "defaultplus_classic_tabs": true
in your preferences? Also, are you using a retina Macbook?
While my MacBook is a retina one, I use Sublime on the attached lightning display, which is NOT retina.
The '''defaultplus_classic_tabs''' was not set to true. It looks like I had a text colorscheme that was supplying its own tabs and apparently that was overriding the defaultplus theme. So now I'm going to go look for a colorscheme that I like (not a fan of the DefautPlus colorscheme, sorry) that DOESN'T mess with the tabs.
So I cloned the git repository, but when I set Sublime to use the theme as indicated, I get really weird looking tabs. They appear to be laid out as intended, but they have kind of tab-y backgrounds that don't fit the text of each tab. Screenshot attached.
