I really love the Idea. I am also a professional, but C# Backend Developer so I can also help a bit but you are the much better man for this job. I don't know if we get that Database Dumb actually as the once in charge for this Project seems quite inactive.
In the End it would be enough if an V2 would implement an import that can handle the csv files from this projects export.
I've been messing around with making something similar as a way of teaching myself — if you do wind up starting in on a v2 I'd be happy to help out. Not necessarily the most skilled since I'm fairly new, but I have plenty of time and interest.
I have thoughts to rebuild this on a small scale as a side project. I've no formal education and still learning about web application development. would love to see if it's possible to use angular or react for this

I messed around some on creating it as a side project to help learn react — @kibounu if you want to work together on making it actually work well, I'm game. Here's what I built last year as a frontend (but would be happy to start from scratch)
I think this project is neat and its filled a valuable need for a long time. However, I think it's time for a rebuild. The UI is not mobile-friendly or "modern" (which I admit is a vague idea. Its more intuitive than anything).
I'm a professional web dev and I specialize in SPAs with Angular. I'm proposing a rebuild of the app. I think the only real part to keep is the database.
I'd like to discuss transitioning it to an Angular SPA hosted in an S3 bucket using Lambda functions for all DB interactions.
Thoughts?
I understand that real-world jobs and family take precedence over side projects. I'm currently in a situation where I can dedicate some time to this and I'd like to improve things.
