I bought one a month or so ago to check it out, the Mini uses a PIC processor and completely different hardware internally, so the software would have to be rewritten completely to support it.
would it be possible to reverse engineer the Craft Room software, or would it be more practical to figure out the processor and how it controls the stepper motors? If you figure it out you'd be the personal hero of a lot of people :+1:
Judging from the complicated encryption scheme Provocraft now uses for 2nd gen cutters (and the private keys haven't been cracked, AFAIK), it is probably more practical to work out the motor controls and flash a custom firmware.
Do you know if anybody is working on such a thing? I have a Mini I've been experimenting with.
any plans on checking out the serial/USB on a mini?
