AI Recruits #22

This feature depends on the AI Commanding feature being released in Reforger

Civilians can be recruited by walking up to them and selecting the option. Off the street it will cost quite a bit (maybe $1000). Your recruits will show up on the map with their own icon similar to how a player looks, but slightly different

Levelling up Recruits will start with no skills and be inaccurate at shooting. As they perform tasks, kill enemies etc they will gain XP and level up similar to the player. With each level they will get better at shooting and other tasks automatically. In the near future there might also be "skills" you can assign them to unlock special tasks (such as medicine etc)

Recruitment Center At an FOB or base you will be able to build a "Recruitment Center", a tent-like building, for somewhere around $2k. Any player can approach this tent and recruit a civilian from the nearest town (assuming the resistance has supporters there) for much cheaper than it would be off the street (maybe $250).

Manage Recruits In this screen from the main menu you can check the XP and level of recruits, plus be able to rename them if you wish.

Training Camp Available to build only at a base, for somewhere around $3-4k a training camp will allow you to train up your recruits +1 level at a time. To begin with the recruit will just disappear from the world for a time/cost that increases with each level. Eventually the recruit might stay at the camp and perform some animations so it looks like they are "training", as well as still be vulnerable to attack. When finished training the recruit will appear back at the training camp and under your command again.

Wanted system Recruits will have the same wanted system that the player has. If they are not showing a weapon they will not be shot at unless they are in a restricted area.

Equipping Recruits will start with no gear and just the civilian clothes they already wear. It will be possible to access a recruit's inventory and equip them manually. Eventually (but likely not to start with) you will be able to create and save loadouts, then apply those to a recruit as long as the required gear is in a nearby ammobox or warehouse.

Looting Recruits will be able to loot for you, you will command them to loot and they will grab everything within a radius and put it in the vehicle/ammobox closest to them when given the command. No truck will be required for this, it will work with any vehicle
