Reforger now has AI Driving, and this will be implemented into Overthrow after v1.3
Patrols
When the OF has enough resources they will send out driving patrols to nearby towns. These will for the most part replace the walking patrols currently in game (unless the town is really close, then they will just walk). The patrols will use armed vehicles, drive to the town, stay for a little while, and then drive back to the base again. Resources will be recovered when they return, unless the vehicle is destroyed and doesn't make it back.
QRFs
When a QRF occurs, soldiers will be transported to the drop-zones in trucks, rather than just appearing at the drop zone as is the current behaviour. Some planning and thought from the Resistance could mean that these convoys are successfully ambushed and don't make it to the QRF at all.
Logistics
In a future update (phase 2), the OF will send out random truck convoys from the ports to the bases they own. These will contain random items and gear and be supported by armed vehicles. If they reach their destination base then that base will receive a sizable amount of resources they can use to upgrade the base. The resistance can learn about the schedule of these convoys through the "intel" system in order to set up ambushes.
