Especially with globs we cannot rely on actual files being there or not, we simply have to map the folder for both inclusive and exclusive patterns. On one hand this enlarges the index, on the other hand it simplifies the logic probably drastically,

Yes, this was resolved by going over the semantics of tags at latest in v0.9.
