@ashiimashi it's a good log, but if you can manage to make a capture in logcat mod it will create files on your APi2 of your device

here is a test with these new options in dev camera.hdrplus_global_imagereader_ticket_limit = 50 images/stream in viewfinder camera.imagereader_format_image_jpeg camera.imagereader_sdk29_or_lower

50 is default , 7 is min and 54 is max for my device which does not have this BufferLost bug A test one by one can be confined

@ashiimashi it's a good log, but if you can manage to make a capture in logcat mod it will create files on your APi2 of your device

I made logcat using the tananaev logcat app, it is a very large file, i hope I managed to capture it correctly. please check if it is useful for debugging the freeze issue, if I didn't do it correctly please write and I will do my best to capture a proper logcat

you use 54 , start with minimum, but that suppresses buffer lost errors

Settings -> Advanced -> Stream Config -> Enable OpMode Switch -> Set Sensor -> then tap back_logical and set up the configs like this. Then go through all back lenses including back_ultrawide, back_wide etc and set them all up like this screenshot.

Note: you will only have access to the one lens until Arnova added the input method to select the physical lens IDs.

But the one you will have will work and not freeze.

This works if your device is a Snapdragon processor.

Hi, I would like to collaborate to this thread because I own an s21 fe snapdragon too. In dimitridokuzovski gcam version streamconfig don't even seem to exist so I don't know how he could even test this. Hope someone clears that. In freetime I will follow every other suggestion and try to help on solving this viewfinder freeze issue.

On the latest version I changed stream config setting to EISV3 for all lenses, the main camera freeze is still present for main camera (1x), but even after freezing when I press shutter button it captures a picture (the frozen state of the viewfinder is saved as far as I can tell, moving the camera doesn't have any effect, it saves the frozen frame every time). On ultrawide (.5) and telephoto (2.9) it doesn't freeze, but when I capture a photo, as soon as the animation showing the new image thumbnail popping up on the corner is over, the app crashes and exits, and it doesn't save the captured pictures. I tried saving some logcats, please check if they contain anything useful. Thank you

I set all modes to EISV3 and tested all of them and captured the logs. (removed all the raw DNG files to reduce the size) log20230617.zip Here are some of my observations:

1. back tele camera is not detected (see screenshot)
2. freeze is still there in main camera mode after few seconds, but it captures the frozen image when pressing shutter button.
3. on panorama mode main cam feed doesn't freeze, it works and stitches together and saves the panorama image
4. video mode doesn't work with EISV3 just shows a black viewfinder.
5. on the ultrawide 0.5, the camera doesn't freeze and captures the images but after that the app itself crashes

If you need anything else for testing please explain and I will do it.

This is how the viewfinder can be used Format can be changed but it depends on your device List of formats https://developer.android.com/reference/android/graphics/ImageFormat Samsung may use other formats. Frames your device has a min of 7 and a max of 30

I did some tests with this version but didn't notice a big change, maybe the ultrawide took longer to crash...

Some observations: Freeze issue is still there the video recording now works, but not on slow motion.

unimportant extra: I couldn't type in the search bar inside developer settings for some reason

Changed it to 35, viewfinder colors changed, yellows turned to blue but the freeze still there. The raw images and raw files have the normal color though.
