Light, sound, temperature recording/plotting #72

Add in light sensor recording to show how light affects sleep patterns.

Similar for sound, with the exception that some sort of filter would need to be
implemented for it to be effective. I.e. identify snoring, loud noises, but cut
out rustling of sheets and other white noises like air conditioning/fans.

At least some of this should make it into the big 1.0-no-longer-beta release.

Interesting,

I Have been told I talk in my sleep... And have been known to sleep walk (which brings a different set of questions whew it comes to figuring out if this app is good for someone who sleep-walks) It will be interesting to see the correlation of movement and noise.

Are you contemplating actually recording, or just measuring decibles vs. time
on another "track"?.
Frequency range may also be interesting (voice range vs. snoring range vs.
sirens)

Also, with the light, if the phone is lying on the bed, either the mic is down,
or the camera lens is down, unless (as in me case) it is placed in the desktop
holder.

I'm considering both. Sleep as an droid has the recording function, but I tried
it out and it seemed a bit buggy. Just recording decibel/ frequency range might
serve pretty well and would be an easier task.

Good point- the sensor placement will pose problems in many if not most cases.
I just recently got a DroidX and it has 3 microphones, but most phones only
have one or two.

Also I will look into correlating temperature as well.
