Summoners curently nerfed: They should give EXP without needing to hit a mob. #19

So, was told to put this here. Currently, summons don't give EXP when killing a creature unless the summoner actually hits the enemy. Which means that high-geared summoners, such as those with Spiders or Amoebas, are effectively worthless.

As is known, once spiders, Amoebas, or any creature that does contact damage starts dealing repeated damage, it's impossible to hit an enemy due to how piercing damage works. This unfortunately means that once a summoner gets to a certain point and is relying completely on their summons, as a summoner should be doing, they get 0 EXP.

My suggestion is to remove that restriction, or maybe make a command to remove it so people can decide if they want it or not. Sure, having the summoner minions giving EXP causes AFK farms to be a thing, but it's a necessary change, in my opinion, so that summoners EXP gain is not nerfed into the ground at higher gear ranks.

It won't be as simple as just removing it, but we could implement checks to see wether or not you're actually going summoner so that you're not completely cut out of farming EXP"

That'd be great if you could. My favorite class is summoner, so the nerf unfortunately hits me hard.

The EXP nerf (10% of the total a monster should give) was intentional by Gotest a long time ago. It was made to prevent AFK Summoners from making things too easy for them.

Just thought I'd drop the information here.
