After installing Soundflower, normal Digital Out on Mac Pro / OS X no longer functions #102

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Soundflower
2. Choose Digital Out on Mac Pro to get regular audio (from iTunes, etc.)
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When Digital Out is selected in Preferences > Sound, other application audio 
should play normally (iTunes, etc.) Instead, Soundflower appears to disable the 
normal sound output of the Mac. This is confirmed by streaming iTunes to other 
speakers in the house via AirPlay. Plex audio on Mac also DOES work, but no 
other application audio works.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version posted. OS X Snow Leopard, latest version.
