I did the search because I was surprised in the "Collection Spotlights" that the results for the "Oil on wood" box were only 139 so I wanted to do the search myself. How did you come up with the 139?
I think the same thing holds true for "oil on canvas"
@lwruby i added the higher levels, but to search for oil on wood there, it is not possible, since it's not aat term.
So you could search for oil paint and wood together though?

@lwruby , You can add it of course by using the or & and functionalities of contextual search
example :
Ok great, it works now, although it's VERY SLOW. We need to put a spinning wheel in or something so people know to wait. Is that possible?
Question though: why does the Collection Spotlights. "oil on wood" only bring up 139 results? When I did the contextual search (which now works (:)) I get 13,344. Or 12 416 if I use wood (plant material)
In any case, I think we should change OIL ON WOOD in Collection Spotlights and put "Red Chalk Drawings". I get 6688 results:
IE when I want to do a contextual search on paintings in oil on wood, I can find works in oil, but when I go to say "and wood", I get a list of very specific woods. Most metadata won't be that specific, any many researchers won't need that anyway, so there should be a higher level for "wood". Is this possible?
