Reconciling artworks WITHIN each photoarchive might need to be done.... #393

Hi - I searched for "Visually similar artworks" and found the same artwork with a different photograph that was also in I Tatti.

Seems like we should also do reconciliation WITHIN photoarchives in case photos have been misfiled in their own collections?

we are doing this internally with a separate process, as we have a lot of these records. we will provide a dump soon of reconciled artworks.

lets keep this issue open but put it on the backburner for other institutions, i don't think it's as big of an issue for other insitutions.

Ok. The Frick actually has software from John Resig that can do this, but it’s not really up and running unfortunately….
