examples recalled in "Explore visually similar images" section #422

The new display of the entries recalled in the "Explore visually similar images" section, not as simple comparisons between images but as merged entries, brings out some problems:

Raphael's Madonna Colonna: here the entries of the original painting and the entry of an engraving taken from this artwork have been merged. Thus, among the last known locations we have both the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (the museum that preserves the painting) and the Istituto Nazionale della Grafica in Rome (which preserves the engraving). To eliminate the problem, it would suffice to remove the Hertziana entry (referring to the engraving) from the example and leave in the merged entry all the other data and images of the various providers referring to Raphael's panel. link

Statue of Paris by Canova: this example brings out a cataloging error made by Zeri who put together in one single entry images of two different versions of Canova's statue (one in Asolo, Treviso, the other in Munich), instead of filing them with two different entries. Since the correction here seems to me to be more problematic (one would have to edit the original data provided by Zeri), I would remove this example and replace it with another one link

The print example with the two cardinal portraits does not lead to any merged entry: only the data and the images from Hertziana are shown link

The example related to Giotto's Death of St. Francis** puts together entries related to the fresco by Giotto (but with a strange title) and an entry related to a sketch from the fresco made by Michelangelo. Thus in the last known locations we have both the Basilica of Santa Croce (repository of the fresco) and the Casa Buonarroti Museum (where Michelangelo's sketch is located). Again, either remove the link to the KHI entry, or replace the example with something else link

Hi Francesca, the wrong reconciliations made for Raphael's Madonna Colonna and fresco by Giotto were reverted. The portrait example and Statue of Paris by Canova were replaced.

@FrancescaMambelli do you wish us to revert the merge of Statue of Paris?

Hi! In the front page I still see the Paris and the cardinals examples, even if I refreshed the page and cleared the cache. In Madonna Colonna you should change the image in the 'turning box' replacing the one of the engraving with something else. In the Giotto frescos merged entry, could you change the title manually, putting "Scenes in Life of S. Francis" (that is what the merged entry refers to), instead of "Santa Chiara"? You can revert the merge of the Zeri entry about the statue of Paris, since our entry is wrong and we don't want to add to the Marburg entry incorrect data.

Is it possible to return to a five-column, two-row display of cards in this section, replacing the examples that are removed with something else? I personally find this new display (three columns, four rows) too grainy
