Reconciled artists in artresearch.net

The Zeri Foundation logo does not appear among those of institutions that have reconciled their data against ULAN in the "Artist" template. For example (but that happens in many other cases): among the artists, we have obviously reconciled "Michelangelo Buonarroti" with "Michelangelo." However, if you access the entity file in artreseach ( https://artresearch.net/resource/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fvocab.getty.edu%2Fulan%2F500010654 ), our logo does not appear in the "Information source" column. On the other hand, among the 3,077 artworks linked to the author's file, 98 are by Zeri.

In the list of results you will also notice that next to Michelangelo is almost always mentioned a "Freedley, Durr" about whom I ignore other information and don't understand where it comes from...

there is a Zeri artist, but it is in the bottom, and the specific artist does not have any other statements

Our logo should also appear in the line of the entity (term) to which we have reconciled our artist. Is it possible?

If it's non possible, could the value used by the providers be shown in the first lines, even if they are not recorded in the ULAN, or the variants in the ULAN are always displayed first?

Because it's not the same Label The first one that is reconciled between all of the other institutions is "Michelangelo Buonarroti " and Zeri's is "Buonarroti Michelangelo"

We have the same problem with Caravaggio, which is also associated with a certain "James Riddle" (American sculptor). Perhaps the quickest thing to do to correct these errors is to check when there are two Getty ULAN URIs associated with a single author entity within artresearch.net. This should not happen and it should not be difficult for you to detect these cases... Then we can help you choose the right one, if it is not clear

the caravaggion with the james riddle has connected with the pharos authority from vocab So someone must had made a mistake

Yes, and I guess there will be other mistakes like these. I was just suggesting a way to detect such errors (that we can only point out to you if we come across them by accident)

So once we have found these, how do we change them? Let’s change Caravaggio and Michelangelo for instance ! I went to Actor Dashboard and saw that I had reconciled Michelangelo to ULAn, but I wasn’t able to do anything else like see if somehow Freedley Durr was linked too. What is the process, or do you do it, Sophia?

you can click delete in the dashboards, and then the reconciliations will be reverted. But because of the limit sometimes this is not possible. I could maybe do a search for the reconciled in order to find them easily, and then revert them.

But the only reconciliation I saw for Michelangelo was fine and had nothing to do with Freedley Durr? (Except TODAY, the ULAN name is wrong below - yesterday it was ok?)

Meanwhile, I can’t find Freedley Durr in the Dashboard anywhere. I don’t see where he got linked to Michelangelo?

I also can’t find Caravaggio on the Dashboard in Reconciled or Unreconciled….????

Am I doing something wrong?

@lwruby it's related to the limit issue, that's why we need to implement a further search functionality

Hi Sophia: I think this is necessary for the big artists, like Michelangelo and Caravaggio. We can't have Michelangelo linked to Freedley Durr and Caravaggio to James Riddle. Since we can't do it because of the limit problem, then if you could, it would be great.
