People non artists #19

Some people that are not artists have been included in the artists reconciliation lists. Why is that?

@spykoulouris for both Carlo Brogi and Dimitri kessel, they have these roles : image

Then in the Bernard Berenson i did the query to search the type of this resource and as it seems it has the type of an artist : image

I see. In the artists reconciliation in vocab we need to include only people that appear as artists in the Partners data, not in Ulan's data.

Ok, nice to know, we will change the queries for you to have only these ones

do partners always have data about the role of the actor/artist? If you do update the query and there is no data, perhaps we should add an optional, otherwise, this would exclude actors with no role attached. Actors also may have multiple roles so I am not sure how this query could be updated....

@spykoulouris @lklic we found this artwork in itatti's collection, that has the relation for Berenson that he is the artist... So we automatically assign him as an artist at the processing.

Thanks Sophia for bringing this up. The link you provided is from the I Tatti Digital Collections platform. Has this "artwork" been imported in Pharos? It shouldn't, because it does not belong to either the "Biblioteca Berenson, Fototeca" or "Biblioteca Berenson, Art" collections.

I realized yesterday that this is the reason why lots of other names appear in I Tatti's data in vocab as artists. That is names coming from the personal photos of the Berensons. These photos do not depict artworks and they have been cataloged in a different way. For this reason people shown in the photos may be considered as "creators". These names should not be imported in Pharos artresearch or Pharos vocab. Some of the names are:

Smyth, Craig Hugh Beaton, Cecil Maraini, Fosco Pinsent, Cecil Lehman, Robert etc..
