CPU-temp, when to purchase new cooler

in new server-build, I start with the stock cooler that came with the new shiny processor.

getting some advice on perhaps upgrading cooler, and asked for further advice from Benjamin Nutting on when,,, see thread:

looked a bit further on this,

  • normal 30-65C
  • Gaming/performance: 65-90C
  • temp limit: 90-95
  • (tried to look in intel's specs for this particular -- but was not able to interpret data for just this processor,, other than fan trottling at 100C-20 = 80C

Concept:

• get advice to set correct treshold-data
• setup sensor for max cpu-temp (of all the core-temps glances are presenting)
• dashboard presenting max pr hour?
• automation to notify when getting above some treshold?
