After using the install script and selecting UEFI environment only, I was not able to boot an image with the usb A ports. Once plugged into any of the usb C ports, u-boot was able to properly boot the iso.
Even on a fedora kde install from the script, u-boot was still not able to recognize and take input from the keyboard to stop the autoboot, if plugged into the type A.
