3440x1440 monitor not functional #98

I installed asahi on my m2 mac mini, was able to see it booting up fine, but then my monitor went to sleep when it was supposed to show the login screen. I wanted to make sure it worked so i went in the other room to hook it to my 4k tv, and it worked perfectly. I am using an HDMI 2.1 cable for both displays. How can i get this to work on my monitor? I was able to get it to work once, but it was 50hz and never worked again.
