Ascoware / get-iplayer-automator

The goal of Get iPlayer Automator is to allow iTunes and your Mac to become the hub for your British Television experience regardless of where in the world you are. Currently, Get iPlayer Automator allows you to download and watch BBC and ITV shows on your Mac. Series-Link/PVR functionality ensures you will never miss your favourite shows. Programmes are fully tagged and added to iTunes automatically upon completion. It is simple and easy to use, and runs on any machine running Mac OS X 10.7 or later. And since the shows are in iTunes, it is extremely easy to transfer them to your iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV allowing you to enjoy your shows on the go or on your television.

Suggestion: Separate Download Paths for TV and Movies. #109

Hi Scott. A thought. Is it possible to scrape the program type from the servers? If so an option for separate download paths for TV and Movies would be invaluable to automate the cataloguing/storage process. I have looked at an Automator timer system for running the PVR. It does seem possible but a built in solution would also be terrific. Just a couple of ideas. Thanks and keep up the wonderful work.

get_iplayer itself identifies movies/films from the program metadata, so yes, it should be possible. I also seem to recall the ITV parsing identifies films, too. Let me think about it; it might be a while before it happens.

I would also like the ability to separate radio downloads from TV downloads
