The goal of Get iPlayer Automator is to allow iTunes and your Mac to become the hub for your British Television experience regardless of where in the world you are. I have noticed that if I remote onto my MacPro (setup as a headless server) where I have GiA installed and running. when I start downloads and leave the Apple ScreenShare app the downloads do not carry on until I open the app again to check the progress.
So I have to have the app open for all downloads to finish downloading. This can be a bit frustrating when setting it up to download overnight and my mac might go into sleep or similar.
Other apps continue to work fine on the MacPro, things like Transmission, Safari downloads, Folding@Home, FCPX exports etc
