Ascoware / get-iplayer-automator

The goal of Get iPlayer Automator is to allow iTunes and your Mac to become the hub for your British Television experience regardless of where in the world you are. Currently, Get iPlayer Automator allows you to download and watch BBC and ITV shows on your Mac. Series-Link/PVR functionality ensures you will never miss your favourite shows. Programmes are fully tagged and added to iTunes automatically upon completion. It is simple and easy to use, and runs on any machine running Mac OS X 10.7 or later. And since the shows are in iTunes, it is extremely easy to transfer them to your iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV allowing you to enjoy your shows on the go or on your television.

ITV subtitles often not downloaded. #415

Today, I downloaded all three episode of "Murder in Provence", although the issue is not limited to that programme. Episodes 1 and 2 downloaded the subtitles OK but there were no subtitles for episode 3. When I noticed this, about an hour later, I edited the download history and re-downloaded episode 3. The subtitles downloaded successfully (I have done this with other missing subtitles).

I have had the same issue with other programmes, "Auto Mundial" being a very typical case where the success rate in downloading subtitles is about 40%. With other series the missing subtitles can be any episode, so not necessarily the last episode.

This is not an issue with BBC programmes.

It would be nice if the ITV issue could be resolved. However, I would like to suggest an additional feature for future versions where subtitles can be specifically downloaded without the episode video as with the CLI Get_iPlayer functionality.

I notice this is similar to, but not the same as, #190 ITV subtitles with GIA version 1.13.10. I am using GIA 1.24.1 with OS X 12.5.1.

Kind regards, Bob
