GIA 1.24.1 i iMac Monterey 12.16. using VPN Inside Man episodes BBC
If I process the downloaded MP4s through Compressor then they return to sync. ( I would guess that Handbrake would do the same). So I process all downloads that way now.
It sounds like you are downloading full HD content, which causes get_iplayer to download separate audio and video tracks and then recombines them with ffmpeg. You might want to use 720p video which doesn't do that.
get_iplayer claims it's faster to download BBC's 1080p content this way, so I left it as default.
720 works fine, 1080 does not, one programme simply lost the audio track.Strange, because the separate downloads of audio and video only started a few weeks ago., before that it was one download. but up and running again.
